Freedom Day:

January 30th

With The 2008 New Mexico State Legislature

There will be workshops all day on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning, with a reception on Tuesday evening and a march from the Plaza to the Capitol on Wednesday.  There will be a rally in the Capitol Rotunda on Wednesday afternoon, and you'll have time to visit with your legislators.  A flyer and the full schedule of activities are attached to this message.

Financial assistance is available to individuals with disabilities and family members for lodging, travel expenses, meals or attendant services to make participation in Freedom Day possible.  The Aging and Long-Term Services Department is covering lodging costs, and the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council is providing funding for other needs.  The aid is being administered through The Arc of New Mexico -- call 505-883-4630 (or 1-800-358-6493) and ask for Susan Weiss or Randy Costales.
